                                     Our Ship       On The Milford Sound

Trip to Milford Sound 

The road to Milford Sound was spectacular.   We passed by a popularly photographed area named Mirror Lake 

and arrived at Milford Sound     the most famous of the Fiordland's fifteen fiords. 

The vertical walls tower 1200m above the sea and waterfalls plunge from the high alpine valleys.   Top

On the Milford Sound

                                Waterfalls abounded                                                                                         Silhouettes                                                      

 Every view was a jaw dropper . . . Stayed overnight, kayaked, great food, fine wine, great company with folks from all over the world; Bud and I were the only Americans on board.

The next morning we headed toward the open ocean

and then headed back to port and were met by this exquisite view

  Regretfully, we headed away from Milford Sound.

 Back to Queenstown  and another steak at Lone Star.  Top
