New Zealand - South Island
Our
Route Picton
We crossed the Straights from
Wellington, North Island to Picton, South Island. As we neared the end of our
trip across the Straights, we spotted land and
the seas calmed.

The rainbows continued to arch in the sky. Rounding
the point of land we entered Queen Charlotte Sound and moored in Picton

Picton - Queen Charlotte Sound (Momorangi)
Picton is a quaint
seaside town and the port of entry to the South Island. We had lunch in the park overlooking the harbour,
rented a car and traveled to Momorangi Bay to visit our friends, Wendy and Ross.
Green-lipped
Oyster Plant As we drove toward Momorangi Bay, we passed by a large
muscle Plant. We remembered the great bucket of muscles we had
devoured while in Auckland; we continue to order them at the Fish
Market in Palo Alto. Top
